Reif Larsen

Reif Larsen, born in 1980, is an American writer, literature teacher, and documentary filmmaker. His debut novel, The Selected Works of T. S. Spivet, was published in 2009, became a bestseller, was translated into more than 27 languages, and was adapted into a film in 2013. His second novel, The Rescue of Horizon, followed in 2014. Larsen’s essays and fiction have appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Travel + Leisure, and The Believer. As a documentary filmmaker, he has worked in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Africa.
