Ramita Navai (born 1971) was a correspondent for the Times in Tehran from 2003 to 2006. At the age of eight, she fled the city with her parents before the Islamic Revolution and later returned as a journalist. The interviews she conducted during her time as a correspondent formed the basis of her book City of Lies. The book received the Royal Society of Literature Jerwood Award for Non-Fiction and was recognized at the 2015 Political Book Awards. Navai was awarded an Emmy for an undercover report from Syria.
