Dr Ralph Skuban is a political scientist with a doctorate and an author. He studied political science in Munich while working and completed his doctorate on European social policy. For 25 years, he directed a facility for people with dementia. His encounters with ageing, illness and death led him to Eastern mysticism, particularly the philosophy and practice of yoga and breathwork. He published books and translations of foundational yoga texts and co-founded a yoga academy with his wife.
