Ralf Kramp, born in Euskirchen in 1963, is a German crime writer and publisher. He became known for darkly humorous crime novels and short stories, many of them set in the Eifel region. His debut novel, *Tief unterm Laub*, received the Förderpreis of the Eifel Literature Festival in 1996. His works also include the series featuring Herbie Feldmann and his invisible companion Julius. Kramp received the Cultural Prize of the Euskirchen District in 2002 and the Ehren-Glauser in 2023 for outstanding contributions to the German-language crime-fiction scene. Together with his wife, Monika, he established the Kriminalhaus in Hillesheim, which includes the German Crime Archive, Café Sherlock, and other crime-literary institutions.
