Ralf Butschkow

Ralf Butschkow (born 1962 in Berlin) studied visual communication at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, now the Berlin University of the Arts. After receiving his diploma in 1988, he initially worked as a freelance illustrator and designer for advertising agencies. He later focused increasingly on illustrating children’s and young adult books. He also taught at the Design-Akademie Berlin, the former FHTW Berlin, and the Academy of Illustration and Design Berlin.
