Rachel Reed

Rachel Reed is a midwife, researcher and author with a doctorate. She worked in maternity care, researching women’s experiences of childbirth and the influence of interactions with maternity staff, and developed training programmes for midwives. Her areas of focus included physiological birth, healthcare practice and women’s rights. Her first book, *Why Induction Matters*, was published in 2018. She also wrote the award-winning blog *MidwifeThinking* and contributed to professional journals.
