R. J. Palacio

R. J. Palacio, born in New York in 1963, is the pseudonym of American author Raquel Jaramillo. Before turning to fiction, she worked for about 20 years as an art director, photo illustrator, and book-cover designer. Her debut novel, Wonder, brought her international recognition. It was translated into more than 50 languages, adapted into a film, and received the 2014 German Youth Literature Prize from the youth jury. Her other works include Auggie & Me, White Bird, and Pony.
