Precious Chiebonam Nnebedum

Precious Chiebonam Nnebedum was born in 1999 and grew up in Nigeria and Austria. She first appeared as a poetry slam performer at the age of 17 and was Austrian U20 runner-up in poetry slam in 2017 and 2018. As a co-founder of the initiative “Tanaka Graz,” she worked to support and connect young people of colour. Her artistic work has received several awards, including the Exile Literature Prize in 2020. Her debut, “birthmarks,” was published by Haymon in 2022, followed by “hungry waters.”
