Pierre Michon

Pierre Michon, born in 1945 in the Creuse department of France, is a French writer. He studied literature in Clermont-Ferrand. His literary debut, Vies minuscules (Small Lives), was published in 1984 and won the Prix France Culture. His subsequent honors include the Grand Prix du Roman of the Académie française (2009), the Petrarca-Preis (2010), and the Franz Kafka Prize (2019). His works have been translated into several languages. His later publications include J’écris l’Iliade (2025).
