Philippe Djian, born in Paris in 1949, is a French writer. Before devoting himself to writing, he held various temporary jobs; he typed his first manuscript at a motorway tollbooth. His third novel, “Betty Blue,” became a cult book. Djian received the Prix Interallié in 2012 for “Oh …”. The novel was adapted for film as “Elle,” starring Isabelle Huppert.
