Philipp Schreiber studied business administration at the University of Mannheim, where he earned his doctorate in 2014 at the Chair of Banking. Before and after his doctorate, he worked as an assistant to the board of a German life insurer and as a project leader and consultant for banks and insurance companies, including at international consulting firms and financial services companies in Germany, the United States, and Switzerland. In 2020, he was appointed to a professorship in finance at Esslingen University. His academic fields include behavioral finance, household finance, decision theory, retirement timing, and decumulation strategies in later life. Schreiber is also a co-author of the Spiegel bestseller “Die genial einfache Vermögensstrategie” (“The Brilliantly Simple Wealth Strategy”).
