Philip Kiefer was born in 1973 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, Germany, and studied literary studies and philosophy in Tübingen and Oxford. After completing a master’s degree, he briefly worked for a PR agency in Munich before becoming a freelance author in 2001. He published more than 150 books, including numerous computer guides, particularly for senior readers. He also wrote quiz and puzzle questions for mobile and board games and ran an online magazine for children.
