Peter Weis

Peter Weis (1938–2023) was a German actor, screenwriter and voice artist. He studied acting at the University of Music and Theatre in Hanover and subsequently worked in theatres in Darmstadt, Göttingen and Hamburg. In the 1970s, he wrote scripts for the NDR’s children’s television programming and appeared in numerous film and television productions, including »Tatort« and »Die Hermannsschlacht«. As a radio, dubbing and audiobook voice artist, he was known, among other things, as the German voice of Tony Sirico in the US series »The Sopranos« and as the narrator of Jonas Jonasson’s »The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared«.
