Peter Uhlmann

Peter Uhlmann (born 1948) studied Finno-Ugric studies at Humboldt University of Berlin and worked as a research associate and specialist in Finnish studies at the University of Greifswald. From 1982 onward, he worked as a freelance translator from Finnish into German. His translations include novels, short stories, children’s and young adult books, and plays by authors including Maiju Lassila, Veijo Meri, Paavo Rintala, Esa Sariola, Antti Tuuri, and Taavi Soininvaara.
