Peter Swanson

Peter Swanson (born in 1968 in Concord, Massachusetts) studied at Trinity College, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Emerson College in Boston. He earned degrees in literature, education, and creative writing, and worked as a special-education teacher and bookseller before becoming an author. From 2014 onward, he published several thrillers, including »Die Unbekannte«, »Die Gerechte«, and »Angst sollst du haben«. For »Die Gerechte«, he received the New England Society Book Award in 2016; the novel was also nominated for the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger. Swanson’s books have been translated into more than 30 languages, and his short stories and poems have appeared in publications including The Atlantic.
