Peter Meyer

Peter Meyer (born 1978) is a Protestant theologian and pastor. He studied Protestant theology in Frankfurt am Main, Göttingen, and Atlanta, and completed his first theological examination with the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau in 2006. From 2006 to 2012, he was a research assistant in practical theology and religious education at Goethe University Frankfurt. He received his doctorate there for an empirical study of preaching as a linguistic expression of lived religious practice in the United States and Germany. His professional positions have included serving as a parish pastor in Mainz, working as a consultant for homiletics and preaching coaching in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, and directing the Centre for Proclamation of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau.
