Peter Hoeres (born 1971) is a historian. He studied history, philosophy and political science in Frankfurt am Main and Münster, received his doctorate in Münster in 2002, and completed his habilitation in Gießen in 2011. In 2013, he was appointed to the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg. His research focuses on international relations as well as cultural, media, intellectual and history-of-science studies.
