Peter Gerfen

Peter Gerfen was born on 2 October 1969 in Minden, Westphalia, Germany. He played handball and, at the age of 24, became a national team player and the leading scorer in Germany’s top handball league. At 27, depression combined with generalized anxiety disorder ended his professional career. He reportedly scored around 1,500 goals in the first and second divisions. Gerfen subsequently published books on exercise and movement for children and adults with Meyer & Meyer Verlag. In 2022, he founded GuteLaune Verlag, whose first book was published in April of that year.
