Peter Friedl

Peter Friedl was born in Magdeburg in 1963. After training as a bookbinder, he studied painting at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle. He worked as a freelance painter and illustrator and began illustrating children’s books in 2000. His publishing career with Carlsen Verlag began with the Jakob books.
