Peter Ernst

Peter Ernst is a Germanist and linguist. He taught German linguistics at the Department of German Studies at the University of Vienna, where he served as an associate professor. His research focuses include grammar, language history, dialectology, onomastics, pragmatics, semantics, and the history of culture and scholarship. He also served as an honorary professor at the University of Pannonia in Veszprém and as a member of the Council for German Orthography.
