Peter Cornelius Mayer-Tasch (born 1938) is a German scholar of law, politics and culture and professor emeritus of political science and legal theory at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After receiving his habilitation in public law and legal philosophy from the University of Mainz in 1971, he taught at LMU’s Geschwister Scholl Institute and at the Munich School of Political Science. From 1998 to 2010, he served as the school’s pro-rector and rector. He founded the Research Centre for Political Ecology and has published numerous books, including “Mitte und Maß,” “Die Buchstaben der Philosophie,” “Kleine Philosophie der Macht,” and “Vom großen und vom kleinen Glück.”
