Peter Ackroyd

Peter Ackroyd, born in London in 1949, is a British writer. He studied literature at Yale and Cambridge and worked for many years for the Spectator and The Times. He writes novels, plays, and biographies. His awards include the Somerset Maugham Award and the Whitbread Award.
