Penelope Smith

Penelope Smith became known as a pioneer of interspecies communication and as a trainer of animal communicators. She studied social sciences and also researched animal nutrition, care, anatomy, and behavior. According to the publisher biographies, she discovered in 1971 that traumatic experiences in animals could be addressed using counseling methods also applied to humans. Smith published books including “Conversations with Animals,” “Animals as Teachers and Companions,” and “Animals Tell of Death,” as well as articles, audiobooks, and audiovisual works. She also edited the quarterly journal “Species Link” and gave lectures and workshops internationally.
