Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1947. He became internationally known as a writer through novels such as *The Alchemist*, *Veronika Decides to Die* and *Eleven Minutes*. His works became international bestsellers and were translated into numerous languages.
