Pauline de Bok (born 1956) is a writer, journalist and translator. She studied theology, philosophy and German studies. As a translator, she rendered works including Wolfgang Herrndorf’s novel “Tschick” into Dutch. Her novel “Blankow oder Das Verlangen nach Heimat” (2009) received the Annalise-Wagner Prize in 2010. Her other books include “Beute. Mein Jahr auf der Jagd” (2018). “Das Schweigen der Frösche” (original title: “De poel”) was nominated for the Dutch Jan Wolkers Prize and the Flemish literary prize De Boon.
