Paul Watson was born in Toronto and is a Canadian environmental activist and author. He co-founded Greenpeace in 1972. In 1977, he established the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an international organization dedicated to protecting the oceans and marine biodiversity. In addition to nonfiction on marine conservation and environmental issues, Watson has published poetry. His books include “Ocean Warrior: My Battle to End the Illegal Slaughter on the High Seas” and “Dealing with Climate Change and Stress”; his poetry collection “Desperate Mythologies” was published in 2020.
