Paul Gallico

Paul Gallico (1897–1976) was an American writer and journalist. Born in New York, he initially worked as a film critic and sports journalist, eventually becoming one of the highest-paid sports reporters in the United States. To write about sports with greater authenticity, he reportedly practiced nearly a dozen different sports. He later devoted himself primarily to novels and short stories, publishing more than 40 books. His best-known works include *The Love of Little Mouche* and *Jennie*. Numerous stories and novels by Gallico were adapted for film.
