Patrick deWitt, born in 1975 on Vancouver Island, Canada, is a Canadian writer. His debut novel, “Ablutions: Notes for a Novel,” was followed by “The Sisters Brothers,” his second novel. “The Sisters Brothers” was nominated for the Man Booker Prize, the Giller Prize and the Walter Scott Prize. deWitt received, among other honours, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, the Governor General’s Award for English-Language Fiction and the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour.
