Paschalis Dougalis

Paschalis Dougalis was born and raised in northern Greece. From an early age, he devoted himself to drawing and to depicting animals and nature. After discovering an English-language bird guide in 1992, he focused much of his artistic work on birds. A 1995 book series about endangered species in Greece established him as a book illustrator. His work received awards including Bird Illustrator of the Year in 2001 and 2002 and the Silberner Uhu in 2003. His illustrations have appeared in international publications and have been presented in exhibitions and projects.
