Panajotis Kondylis

Panajotis Kondylis (1943–1998) was a Greek philosopher and writer. He studied philosophy in Heidelberg, where he received his doctorate under Dieter Henrich. As an independent scholar, he worked in Athens and Heidelberg and had a particular impact in the German-speaking world. His notable works include The Enlightenment within the Framework of Modern Rationalism, Power and Decision, and the posthumously published Social Ontology. He also translated works by Marx, Ernst Cassirer, Carl Schmitt, and Machiavelli into Greek.
