Origenes

Origen was an ancient Christian teacher and scholar. After being educated in grammar and literature, he initially taught these subjects privately and used his earnings to support his siblings. He later delivered lecture series on the books of the Bible, which scribes recorded. He became particularly known for his decades-long study of Greek and Hebrew texts of the Old Testament, which he compared word by word and whose differences he documented.
