Omer Bartov

Omer Bartov, born in Israel in 1954, is a historian who taught European history and German studies at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. His research focuses on the German Wehrmacht and its war crimes in Eastern Europe, as well as the history of the Holocaust. His microhistory of Buczacz received the National Jewish Book Award and the Yad Vashem International Book Prize for Holocaust Research.
