Oliwia Murawska received her doctorate in 2015 from the University of Münster under Andreas Hartmann, having studied folklore/European ethnology, economics and politics, and English studies there. From 2010 to 2016, she worked as a research associate at Münster’s Institute of Folklore/European Ethnology; from 2016 onward, she taught and conducted research in cultural anthropology/folklore at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her research interests included economic anthropology, corporate culture, human–nature relations, and concepts of time and tradition. Her publications include the master’s thesis “The Economy of Thanksgiving: Crops as Goods and Gifts” and the dissertation “The Family Shipyard: Structures, Traditions, Succession” (2015).
