Olena Viktorivna Stjaschkina

Olena Viktorivna Stiaschkina studied history at Donetsk State University, where she subsequently completed postgraduate studies. In 1996, she earned a doctorate with a dissertation on cultural processes in the Donbas in the 1960s and early 1990s. In 2003, she completed a second doctorate on women in the history of Ukrainian culture in the second half of the 20th century. She worked in the Department of Slavic History at Donetsk State University, was a professor in the same field at Vasyl Stus National University of Donetsk, and served as a senior researcher at the Institute of the History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
