NoViolet Bulawayo

NoViolet Bulawayo grew up in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and moved to the United States at the age of eighteen. Her debut novel, *We Need New Names*, was a finalist for the Booker Prize and received the PEN/Hemingway Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for First Fiction. She also received the National Book Award in the “5 Under 35” category. The novel has been translated into numerous languages.
