Norbert Scheuer (born 1951) is a German author who also worked as a systems programmer. His novels include Überm Rauschen (2009), Die Sprache der Vögel (2015), Am Grund des Universums (2017), and Winterbienen (2019). Überm Rauschen was shortlisted for the German Book Prize and was selected as Cologne and the region’s “Book for the City” in 2010. Die Sprache der Vögel was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize. Winterbienen was also shortlisted for the German Book Prize and received the Wilhelm Raabe Prize and the Evangelical Book Prize.
