Nina Schedlmayer

Nina Schedlmayer studied art history in Vienna and completed a doctorate on art literature under National Socialism. She worked for many years in the culture department of the news magazine »profil«, where she was responsible for visual art, and became editor-in-chief of the cultural magazine »morgen« in 2019. Her writing has appeared in publications including »Weltkunst«, »Parnass«, »Eikon«, »Die Zeit« and »Handelsblatt«. She has also curated several exhibitions. In 2017, she received the first Austrian State Prize for Art Criticism. Her book »Hitlers queere Künstlerin. Stephanie Hollenstein. Künstlerin und Soldat« was published by Zsolnay in 2025.
