Nina Bouraoui

Nina Bouraoui (born 1967) is a French writer. She spent her childhood and youth in Algeria and lived for periods in Zurich and Abu Dhabi. Her literary work has received, among other honors, the Prix Renaudot, the Prix du Livre Inter, and the Prix Emmanuel Roblès. She has also been made a Commandeur de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Her novels have been translated into numerous languages. Bouraoui wrote the novel “Hostages” as early as 2016; it received the 2020 Prix Anaïs Nin and was nominated for the Prix des Cinq Continents.
