Nikolaj Schmolcke

Born in 1965, Nikolaj Schmolcke studied economics at Ruhr University Bochum. He began his career in 1993 at Price Waterhouse Coopers, then known as Coopers & Lybrand. From 1994 to 2013, he worked for the Lufthansa Group, including six years as CFO in the Philippines and Malta. He subsequently spent five years as managing director of a medium-sized financial holding company. From 2018 to 2020, he headed accounting at the Vapiano Group as Director of Finance and became chairman of its supervisory board following the company’s insolvency.
