Nicolas Lunabba, born in 1981 in Lleida, Spain, worked with children and young people in socially disadvantaged areas of southern Sweden and advocated against social inequality and structural racism. For this work, he received, among other honors, the Martin Luther King Prize and an honorary doctorate from Malmö University. His literary memoir, “Bist du traurig, wenn ich sterbe,” remained on the Swedish bestseller list for more than a year, received critical acclaim, and was published in translation in five countries.
