Nicolas Bock

Nicolas Bock is an art historian. He studied in Heidelberg and Florence and worked, among other places, at the Bibliotheca Hertziana of the Max Planck Institute in Rome, as well as in Frankfurt am Main, Brno, and the United States. He taught medieval and modern art history at the University of Lausanne. His research focuses on Italian art, image-text relations, and the sociology of art.
