Nicola Schmidt

Nicola Schmidt is a German science journalist, author, and lecturer. She trained as a magazine and science journalist and initially worked as an editor and the head of an editorial office; she also worked in radio and web television. In 2008, she started a blog about attachment-oriented parenting and later founded the artgerecht project, under whose name she published books and developed courses and training programs for parents and professionals. Her best-known works include “Artgerecht – das andere Babybuch” and “Erziehen ohne Schimpfen”; several of her books became bestsellers. Schmidt is the mother of two children, and her writing focuses mainly on developmental psychology, evolutionary biology, and behavioral biology.
