Nicholas Sansbury Smith first worked in administration and emergency management in the U.S. state of Iowa before turning to writing. He has published several post-apocalyptic novels and series. He is particularly known for THE EXTINCTION CYCLE, which achieved bestseller status. Smith has also competed in triathlon events.
