Natasha Pulley

Natasha Pulley was born in England in 1988. She studied English Literature at New College, Oxford, and subsequently completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. Before writing, she worked in bookselling and at Cambridge University Press in the fields of astronomy and mathematics. Pulley spent 18 months in Tokyo, where she learned Japanese and researched her debut novel, “Der Uhrmacher in der Filigree Street”. The novel became a bestseller and earned her the Betty Trask Award in 2016. That year, she was also a Writer-in-Residence at Gladstone’s Library. Her other novels include “Der Leuchtturm an der Schwelle der Zeit”.
