Natascha Kampusch (born 1988) was abducted on her way to school at the age of ten and held captive for more than eight years. She escaped in October 2006. Her life story was recounted in two autobiographical books, including “10 Years of Freedom”, and explored in a feature film and several documentaries. Kampusch also gave numerous interviews and participated in projects supporting human rights, animal protection and traumatized young people.
