Naomi Wolf, born in 1962, became known in the 1990s for her nonfiction book *The Beauty Myth*, which established her as a prominent voice in a new feminism. She graduated from Yale University and earned a doctorate at Oxford. Wolf worked as an author, columnist, and professor, and advised Bill Clinton during his 1996 election campaign and presidential candidate Al Gore in 2000. Her other books include *How to Destroy a Democracy: The 10-Point Program* and *Give Me Liberty*.
