Musa Dagdeviren is a chef and restaurateur. In 1987, he opened Çiya in Istanbul, the first of three restaurants associated with him. Together with his wife, he was involved in a foundation dedicated to rediscovering and documenting Turkish culinary heritage; its findings were published in a quarterly journal. Dagdeviren also appeared in international media and lectured at food conferences and culinary schools.
