Moritz Schmid

Born in Hamburg in 1980, Moritz Schmid is an advertising photographer and the author of two books on mushrooms. He began his photographic career as an assistant to leading photographers in Hamburg, Cape Town, New York, and Paris, and has worked internationally for prominent clients since 2009. As a mushroom expert and mushroom coach with the German Mycological Society, he also focuses on mushrooms, nature, and culinary topics. Schmid is an enthusiastic amateur cook and won the television show “Das perfekte Dinner.”
