Monika Renz

Monika Renz, Dr. phil. and Dr. theol., is a music and psychotherapist and psycho-oncologist. She studied educational psychology, psychopathology, ethnomusicology and theology. From 1998 onward, she headed psycho-oncology at St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital, where she worked with cancer patients and people approaching death. Her research has focused on dying, spirituality and depth-psychological exegesis. Her publications have received international attention. Her notable books include “Hinübergehen. Was beim Sterben geschieht” (“Crossing Over: What Happens When We Die”).
