Monika Fagerholm

Monika Fagerholm, born in Helsinki in 1961, is a Finland-Swedish writer. She studied psychology and literary studies at the University of Helsinki, graduating in 1987. After publishing numerous short stories, she achieved her literary breakthrough with the novel “Wonderful Women by the Water” (1994), which received the Runeberg Prize. Her novel “The American Girl” won the August Prize in 2005, and “Who Killed Bambi?” received the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize in 2020.
